Who are you? …. How are you defined and how do you define yourself?
In life, we often overlook the importance of patience and attitude, but these two things are what define our character and shape our destiny.
You learn so much more about yourself when you have nothing. This is the place where you discover who you really are and what you are made of.
It’s easy to remain patient when things are going well, but it takes a great deal of strength and resilience to remain calm in the face of adversity. Patience requires us to be resilient, to persevere, and to have faith that things will eventually work out in our favour. Developing patience is an essential life skill that can help us deal with life’s challenges in a more positive and productive way.
Ask Yourself:
Am I willing to do the work to get to where I want to be?
Am I willing to discipline myself?
Am I willing to give up the things that I might want now and be patient and earn it?
Am I willing to get up every day and do what needs to be done to reach my goals even when I don’t feel like it?
Am I willing to put in the time and effort that is needed before I start to see the results that I want?
Having everything doesn’t necessarily mean that we’re happy or content. Our attitude towards the things we have in life determines our level of appreciation and satisfaction. A positive attitude can help us enjoy the little things in life and be grateful for what we have, while a negative attitude can make us take things for granted and lead to a lack of fulfilment.
Ask Yourself:
How do I treat other people when I feel like I have all I could ever want?
Am I kind or do I have an attitude of entitlement?
How do I treat people who can’t do anything for me?
Am I willing to lend a helping hand to someone else without expecting anything in return because I am in a position to do so and everyone needs help every now and again?
Life is a journey that’s full of ups and downs, and we need to have the right mindset to deal with both. Patience helps us navigate the obstacles and challenges of life and enables us to keep going when things get tough. At the same time, our attitude towards what we have in life can help us stay positive and content, even when things are going great.
These two traits define us. They test us and reveal who we really are…Who are you when you have nothing? Who are you when you have everything?
